Reformed by the Reformation

Usually I dress like a beach bum in Hawaii. One pair of shorts, a bathing suit, and a tank top takes me from hiking to farmers markets to the beach… which is pretty much all we do on the Islands. After a few days, the thought of makeup or heels seems ridiculous.

My recent trip to Maui involved a friend’s wedding and several dinners out, so I had to bring a few nicer outfits. I ended up wearing a tissue thin floral maxi dress from Reformed by the Reformation several times, it looked just as perfect for fancy dinners as it did for the beach. Easy, glamourous with less than minimal effort….perfection!

My eyes look a little freaky here, I swear I have pupils guys!

This dress is probably my favourite summer piece, what’s yours?

What a gorgeous go-to! I’m obsessed with a similarly flimsy army green romper I picked up in Barcelona last year. It’s comfy and pretty and I can wear it any damn place dressed up or down.

Hi Sarah, that army green romper sounds amazing! I almost bought a flimsy romper in dusty blue, and now I think I should go for it. I love those pieces that have a story as well, you’ll always remember Barcelona when you wear it.
      Thanks for stopping by,

Hi Alana. I love the dress. My husband has tried for the last 26 years to get me to wear a floral dress. I’m turned off by big floral prints. Your dress looks gorgeous. I can see myself wearing a dress like that. What colour throw or wrap would you include for a cooler Maui night?

Hi Joanna! I HIGHY recommend the dress, it’s comfy, easy and sexy all at once! Plus the floral isn’t too girly. To throw on over top I would play opposites and throw on a leather jacket or wear your man’s suit jacket. Those are unexpected and sexy! If you really want to use a wrap I would go for basic black :) Hope that helps!!!
