For those of us who didn’t start shopping in August, its holiday gift scramble time.
Stress city. Population: me
A friend who was recently engaged was heading east for the holidays, which made me think… wouldn’t it be awesome to show off her engagement excitement while not loosing her ring finger to frost bite?
Answer: YES
To make a pair of engagement gloves you need only a few simple tools:
cashmere gloves / hot glue / glitter ribbon / needle & thread
1/ Using the template I’ve provided (or draw one to the size you prefer,) cut out the four pieces to make a bow. I used a glittery craft ribbon that doesn’t fray when you cut it.
2/ Glue the main piece together, one spot of glue in the middle and attach both ends. Wrap & glue the middle piece around the centre and glue the two end pieces to the back of the bow.
3/ Put a small amount of glue on the back of the bow and attach it to the left glove exactly where a ring would sit (make sure you don’t glue the finger hole shut!) Using needle & thread, reinforce the bow to the glove with a few simple stitches.
4/ Give it to a friend!
