When I’m traveling I have a few things I love to do in every city: getting lost, finding art/beauty in unexpected places, watching a movie in an old theatre, and going to an art gallery.
While I was in Toronto for the Lancome “Roses by..” event with my dear friend Carly, I dragged her all over town (getting lost…check!) and then to AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario). I won’t wax on too much about the gallery, except that it was one of my favourite parts of the city and one of those rare spaces where the architecture (re-designed by Frank Gehry) of the building is just as interesting as the contents.
We explored the winding wood staircase, survived a hurricane room, walked through hundreds of speakers pulsing with opera, and spent out last minutes in the city…finally with a view of the skyline.
What do you guys like to do in a new city?
