What’s a girl to do when someone leaves a very expensive Louis Vuitton purse lying around? Turn it into a vase of course! What started as “that would be a cool picture,” turned into a DIY that I really love! It’s a great way to display vintage purses that might otherwise be left on a dusty shelf somewhere.

You can display it on a desk or counter…

Or stack on top of vintage suitcases / old chairs to brighten up a corner.

tools needed:

- a vintage purse

- a few books

- loads of flowers! I used three vases and several loose flowers. Have fun with colour and texture!

1.  Take a few old books and lay them on the bottom of the purse, this will add height and weight to your arrangement.

2. Add the vases of flowers to the purse, you want them to fit snug so they don’t fall over and spill water.

3. Have fun adding single flowers into the arrangement, I made sure to add some to the very sides so they appear to be spilling out.

4. Display your arrangement for all to see!

I’ve been madly working on an amazing project for a local company Women in Need who offer support to women in the community. You can view the project here! I get to work with so many amazing women on a daily basis now, all of whom are passionate about the cause and about fashion. Among said amazing women is Carly Flint, the talented makeup artist and mega babe featured in this post. I’ve been lucky enough to work closely with her for the last few weeks and it’s an understatement to say I’m inspired!
