Weekend evenings spent with my husband and my new sunglasses that are so incredibly lightweight that I’m eternally “that girl” who thinks her sunglasses are lost when they are on her head. Thanks Silhouette for my beautiful, feather weight sunnies!

Beauty and magic cannot be denied when the world looks like this on a random wednesday.
My husband/best friend and I have started chasing sunsets in the evenings. It’s a feverish and mad dash to beat the rapidly lowering light and watch it transform boring side streets into unimaginable heaven.
Bonus points for fleeing with handfuls of blackberries.
The west coast is notoriously cloudy in the winter, so we are trying to squeeze every last drop of sunlight from our days and eating every last blackberry we can reach.
See you out there, fellow sunset worshipers!

Loving dusty pastels and anything with a stripe. Also loving anything that I could potentially wear with a cowboy hat, minus the cowboy hat.

]]>I spotted this gorgeous Maison Michel hat on the lovely Kristina (below) and Khloe Kardashian, and I fell in love! But $400-$700 for a hat feels a little wasteful, especially when you can make your own!
DIY time!
I knew this DIY would be perfect for my trip to Mexico, so with 20 minutes until leaving for my flight, I whipped out some paint, ribbon, and an old but beloved hat (worn here & here,) and got to work!
SUPPLIES
blue Acrylic paint / textile medium / black ribbon / a paint brush / scissors / extra strength double sided tape
1. Mix the paint and textile medium with equal parts. Spread evenly over the entire top of the hat. Wait for the paint to dry.
2. Wrap your ribbon around the base, cut to size and use double sided tape to secure the length. To finish off the ribbon cut a small piece, cover with double sided tape and wrap around the seam.
3. Use it!
This hat has been the perfect compliment to sunny weather on the Mayan Riviera!

]]>I feel like I’ve been missing in action around here, but truth be told, I’ve been travelling and working my butt off!
If you follow me on instagram you may have noticed that I went to Toronto for work with the fabulous ma-luxe team. We lived together in a loft on Queen St for a week of photoshoots, model herding, wine, cameras, endless hard work and indescribable fun.
Husting from one end of Queen St to the other, from the immaculate Kleinfeld’s store (more on that later) to Value Village and everywhere in between, we got to know this street like an old friend.
Here’s to all the dreams that came true on this street. The dreams we fought for and the dreams we didn’t know we had until we lived them. Here’s to our neighbourhood, a shelter on one side, a primary school on the other, and four crazy girls chasing the evening light. Somewhere between hard reality and total fantasy, you’ll find us.Thanks for the memories Toronto.

One of my main goals (which I kind of just realized) is to help people design the life they want to lead. I feel like I’ve assembled my life brick by brick, designed and created from the ground up, and it’s really beautiful! No one’s life is perfect, but I aspire to inspire the conscious creation of a life that is magical, adventurous, and full of art and beauty.
Yikes, looks like I have my work cut out for me.
I’ve always admired women who try to build up their fellow females, sharing whatever life tips they have to elevate each others lives. I love Marie Forleo for business tips, Patricia Kiteke – the Real Estate guru, and lately I’ve been loving Rachel Roy for lifestyle awesomeness. In her blog “The Life” she guides us on style, beauty, travel, and most admirably – charity.
In honour of my girl Rachel, I picked up this perfect summer dress designed by Ms. Roy herself. I love the tiny heart print and elastic back that renders all bras useless, but most importantly I feel inspired wearing it! It unconsciously reminds me to “design the life I want to live,” a right I want every woman on the planet to have. Thanks for inspiring me ladies!
Who inspires you guys? I’d love to know

]]>The season of weddings has officially begun on the west coast and I was lucky enough to be a fly on the wall during a super gorgeous bridal shoot with Olive & Piper & the ma-luxe team in Vancouver.
I love catching behind the scenes footage. The missed moments, the laughs, and the beautiful things that happen when people forget you are filming. Here are a few Living Photos and a short video I created while I was there.
Check out all the details and the full story at ma-luxe mag!

When trying to blend into your surroundings, it’s best to find a coloured wall and follow suit.
I found this shiny black wall and dressed in a likeminded fashion.
You’ll never find me!

I’m not sure how I managed to create such a cool life for myself, but creativity and magic is high in the daily quota. Being part of a creative team means I can take a simple idea to my girls and they totally run with it and make it a million times better and more magical than I could have dreamed. We recently did a shoot for JETS Swimwear and I was lucky enough to pitch the idea and shoot it. You can view the post OVER HERE, and enjoy some of my behind the scenes shots from our epic / relaxed / fun / inspiring day! Giant high-fives to the creative geniuses Carly Flint and Marion Groot who brought the shoot to life, and to our awesome model Taylor!
And check out JETS, they kind of totally rock!
